Das vielleicht repr\u00e4sentativste Denkmal der sozialistischen Zeit ist die Victoria-Statue.<\/h1>\n

Das Siegesdenkmal ist im Stil des sozialistischen Realismus gehalten und verherrlicht den antifaschistischen Kampf des rum\u00e4nischen Volkes. Es wurde 1968 enth\u00fcllt und sein Sch\u00f6pfer war Boris Caragea.<\/h3>\n

In der Geschichte der rum\u00e4nischen Kunst steht der Name des Bildhauers Boris Caragea f\u00fcr Kontroverse, Ruhm, Zerst\u00f6rung, Verleugnung und kehrt dann in ein v\u00f6llig anderes Register zur\u00fcck. Ein K\u00fcnstler der Extreme. Caragea wurde in Balcic geboren, wo er als Teenager seinen Lebensunterhalt als Bootsmann verdiente. Er wurde zum Lieblingsk\u00fcnstler des K\u00f6nigshauses und sp\u00e4ter zum offiziellen Bildhauer des kommunistischen Regimes.<\/p>\n

\nDer Dobrogean Boris Caragea wurde am 24. Januar 1906 in Balcic (Quadrilater) geboren und wuchs auf den Terrassen des Schwarzen Meeres inmitten der arch\u00e4ologischen \u00dcberreste am Cap Caliacra auf. Als Sohn des Meeres verdiente Boris eine Zeit lang seinen Lebensunterhalt als Bootsmann, aber das Leben hatte gro\u00dfe Pl\u00e4ne f\u00fcr ihn, entsprechend seinem beeindruckenden K\u00f6rperbau. Er erhielt zahlreiche Auftr\u00e4ge und schuf bedeutende plastische Werke, darunter \u201eSchmerz\u201c und \u201eScheibenwerfer\u201c \u2013 entstanden 1958 und befinden sich an der K\u00fcste von Constanta<\/p>\n
