Das Haus mit den L\u00f6wen diente nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg f\u00fcr kurze Zeit (1921) als Banksitz, und Bebi Emirzian, Dicrans Sohn, lebte in dem Haus bis 1941, als er nach Bukarest zog. Das Geb\u00e4ude hatte damals mehrere Mieter und wurde 1950 verstaatlicht. In den 70er Jahren wurde das Casa cu lei einer Restaurierung unterzogen und in ein damals ber\u00fchmtes Restaurant umgewandelt, das bis in die ersten Jahre nach der Revolution von 1989 in Betrieb war.<\/p>\n
Die Hauptfassade zur Dianai-Stra\u00dfe wird durch vier kolossale S\u00e4ulen mit hohen Steinsockeln dargestellt. Am oberen Teil jeder S\u00e4ule wurde durch die Platzierung eines steinernen L\u00f6wen ein besonderer architektonischer Effekt erzielt, der dem Bau die Originalit\u00e4t verleiht, die wir fast jedes Mal erw\u00e4hnen, wenn es um dieses Geb\u00e4ude geht.<\/p>\n\n
Das Geb\u00e4ude besticht durch seine imposante, gut erhaltene Architektur, die durch faszinierende Details zu verschiedenen Tageszeiten das Licht ausschaltet. Stilistisch geh\u00f6rt das Geb\u00e4ude zum Eklektizismus, der f\u00fcr das 19. Jahrhundert typisch ist. Das Prinzip dieses Stils besteht darin, Elemente aus der Komposition des Klassizismus, der Renaissance und des Barock auszuw\u00e4hlen und sie in einer neuen Synthese zu kombinieren, die niemals dieselbe ist.<\/p>\n
