{"id":1853,"date":"2018-05-10T15:36:27","date_gmt":"2018-05-10T12:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.parcmamaia.ro\/?p=1853"},"modified":"2024-03-31T10:52:13","modified_gmt":"2024-03-31T08:52:13","slug":"muzeul-de-istorie-constanta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/parcmamaia.ro\/en\/muzeul-de-istorie-constanta\/","title":{"rendered":"Constan\u021ba History Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center\"><i>Museum of National History and Archaeology<\/i>\u00a0it is the second most important museum, after the Museum of History in Bucharest.<\/h1>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The massive and imposing construction that dominates the entire square was built between 1912-1921 under the guidance of the architect Victor \u015etef\u0103nescu. The museum is structured on three levels, on the ground floor are the Treasury rooms, dominated by the snake statue\u00a0<i>Glycon<\/i>.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1855\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Glykon-230x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the other floors of the museum, the exhibits are arranged chronologically, starting with the first evidence of habitation of Dobrogea and ending with the modern era. Among these pieces, the &quot;Thinker&quot; and its pair stand out, emblematic pieces for the Hamagia (Neolithic) culture.<br \/>\nThe museum complex of history and archeology is complemented on the outside by a large lapidary (ensemble of engraved and sculpted stones) and by the Roman Mosaic Building, a historical monument unique in Eastern Europe due to its dimensions.<\/p>\n<p>The institution houses objects of Greek, Roman, Byzantine and medieval origin (stone, bronze and iron tools and weapons), ceramics, ancient architectural elements (columns, capitals, pediments, decorations, etc.), ancient sculptures, glass vessels, statuettes bronze, jewelry, numismatics (the collection includes silver, bronze and gold coins, some of them being unique), icons, documents, maps, models, photographs, telegrams, magazines, objects that belonged to personalities of the early 20th century, pieces of furniture and other objects with a great historical charge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>Here you can find the visiting schedule and the address of the Constan\u021ba history museum:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Peninsular Zone of Constan\u021ba, housed since 1977 in a monumental building (the former seat of the town hall of Constan\u0163a), located in Pia\u0163a Ovidiu no. 12.<\/p>\n<p>Schedule: 9:00 \u2013 20:00 (May 1 \u2013 September 30); 9:00 - 17:00, Monday and Tuesday - closed (October 1 - April 30).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><strong>Park Hotel<\/strong> supports the promotion of the city of Constan\u021ba and the resort of Mamaia, by providing all the necessary information to tourists and more.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Muzeul de istorie na\u021bional\u0103 \u0219i arheologie\u00a0este al doilea muzeu ca importan\u021b\u0103, dup\u0103 Muzeul de istorie din Bucure\u0219ti.
