The resort of Mamaia has become famous both in the country and abroad due to the numerous tourist attractions it hosts. Those who want to have an unforgettable holiday by the sea now make it a priority to reserve a place at a hotel in the Mamaia resort. This year will be 109 years since the inauguration of this extraordinary place that our country has.<\/p>\n
Its inauguration was done with great pomp by the authorities because Mamaia was regarded as a top destination on our coast. With the ovation of the event, high-ranking officials of the Romanian state were also present, among them two ministers, Gradisteanu and Banescu. All the good people of the time wanted to reach Mamaia, the resort being described by numerous writers of Romanian literature and not only that.<\/p>\n
"Mamaia: huge stretches of sand, a beach so wide that its end is lost in the distance, with rosy shells like flower petals thrown by fairies, sea baths and that laugh that breaks out when the cold water rushes over you, the rustling whispering of the wave as they break gently from the shore one by one, each leaving a strip of snow-white foam; sand games, crazy dog fighting \na thick piece of wood tossed on the shore by the waves, or maddened with joy and running like gray hounds in a mad dash along the beach, barking drunkenly with ferret; nannies with the necessary tools for the bathroom: with parasols and swear words, then again laughter, laughter. Slow boats gliding lazily across the expanse of lakes, sun pouring down mercilessly on our heads, turning the water into a canvas of light that burns the eyes."<\/p>\n
That's how Queen Maria spoke, who immediately fell in love with this place, built the Royal Palace of Mamaia here in the 20s of the last century.<\/p>\n

The first hotel built in Mamaia was Rex, keeping its original architecture over time. Unfortunately, many buildings in the Mamaia resort were destroyed during the Second World War. The reconstruction was started by the communist regime.<\/p>\n

Later, Nicolae Ceausescu decided to build numerous hotels in Mamaia to cope with the large influx of tourists who preferred the place when they came to the sea. In the post-December period, Mamaia experienced a period full of problems, but the resort was then relaunched and regained its former fame.<\/p>\n
